Shrek the ThirdActivision (Nintendo Wii)

You can't blame Nintendo for banking on the hugely successful Shrek franchise, so when I decided to try out Shrek the Third for the Nintendo Wii, fully aware I'd be playing the product of a money horse, I wasn't mad.
Wait a minute, yes I was!
Maybe mad isn't the right word. There's no doubt I had fun roaming Far Far Away as the big green ogre (and Puss in Boots!) swinging my Wiimote like a madwoman towards the likes of Captain Hook and the Wicked Witch. I was tickled by the novelty of practically living the movie (the plot of the game is the same as the film), but even my admittedly short attention span was not catered to in the ways most video games attempt. If I wasn't throwing a thousand punches towards my attackers I was throwing a thousand punches towards boxes. Yes, boxes. Or barrels! I don't know. Maybe it's me but punching things constantly gets real old real quick.
But don't get me wrong, Shrek the Third had some shining moments. Like when the game starts you off as Shrek...dressed as a woman! Cheap laughs? Sure, but I try not to discriminate my comedy.
