Halo 3 and GTA IV Deluxe Packages

Two of the biggest releases this year are not books, albums or even movies--they're video games.

Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV are gearing up to be releases worthy of a red carpet. Both games are highly-anticipated follow-ups in series that have rabid followers the world over. Halo 3 is set to further perfect the previous sequel's flawless formula on its first foray onto the Xbox 360; GTA IV will mark the first time the series has appeared on Sony's console juggernaut, the Playstation 3. Not only do both games share the same global admiration, but they also share the same pitch to hardcore completists: Deluxe packages.

Deluxe packages are nothing new in the world of entertainment--career-spanning box sets in music and 2-disc Special Edition DVD's are pushed every holiday season--but gaming has never fully jumped on the bandwagon of odds and sods. Outside of a few peripheral pack-ins that ramp up the onscreen experience (Guitar Hero's guitar, Dance Dance Revolution's dance-pad, etc.) games are packed plain and simple, with a how-to manual and the game itself.

That sucks.... My boyfriend would like that... But that sucks... I
wish it were movies instead games.
I can't wait for either game to come out!
