30 Ways of Keeping In Touch

Stay close to friends during summer

When school lets out, sometimes it gets a little harder to keep up with all your friends. Just because you are not in school does not mean you should not hang out with them as much. Here are some ideas of how to keep in touch.

By mail:

1. Writing letters back and forth can be a good thing. Letters are particularly effective if you have a friend spending the summer in a faraway spot for vacation or camp. A letter will let them know you're thinking about them and give you a chance to see what they're up to while they're away.

2. The sticker club is where you have a set of addresses and every week after school lets out you send stickers to everyone on the list. It is fun and easy and many ages enjoy it.

3. Start a mail dairy. It is where you and another friend send letters back and forth. When one of you receives a letter you write what your day is like and what you do then send it back the next day. Keep the pages you get from your friend and when you start school, talk about them with each other.

By phone/Internet:

4. Call each other.

5. Send daily emails.

6. Send cute chain letters to each other.

7. Both of you set up a myspace and chat.

8. Set up a facebook.

9. Send each other questionnaires through your email.

10. Make up quizzes for each other and call them to ask the questions.

great suggestions! I need to get off my butt and stay cloe with my
friends!
...how is this an article? I can write a list to.

1. See?
2. This is a list too.
I love getting and sending snail mail, but man are stamps
expensive. And so are things like water parks, theme parks, and
movies. I live about 400 miles from most of my friends, so we
stick to evening phone calls (aka free night minutes) and myspace.
as overrated as myspace is, it's such an easy way to keep contact
with so many people at one time.
this list is really cool and i may try doing some of these durning
the summer.
This is great for friends and all....but I have a fiance in the
air force for security forces. I was hoping this might help
me...but it's different for us, We get married next month and even
then it could be a while before I see him.
Great Article... I love writting letters and getting them in the
mail.
Thank you, Jessie D., for writing this article. I had been trying
to think of ways to keep in touch with my friends from high
school, and your suggestions are simple and creative.
My friends have a weekly movie night at someone's house. A lot of
my best memories from high school were of the things that happened
while we weren't really paying attention to the movie
This list really has opened my eyes to everything. Right now i am
going throw a ruff patch and i can't help but dwell on the past.
Thanks forthe insight on 30 ways to keep in touch.
