Styling for Summer

Updated classics

Summer brings out a carefree attitude in people, allowing them to let go and let loose. That lightheartedness is often what prompts people to try different things with their hair, like funky colors and drastic cuts. Summer is the perfect time to experiment with a new cut since you have a few months to grow out a bad cut or figure out how to best style your new mane before you have to face your peers in the fall. For this summer, the hottest looks are updated classic cuts that give room to make the cut your own. You could sport a new trendy bob, add layers to lighten the load, or go with some fun fringe. Either way, it's the time to find something new and fresh that suits you!

I had a bob in 8th grade. But my hair was so flat it didn't look
like a bob. It looked more like the girl on the first page of the
article. lol

Then, the summer before my junior year in high school, I got it
whacked all off, into a short pixie cut. That was nice for most
part, except I'd wake up some days with hair bad enough to pass
for Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII.

4 years later, I decided to grow it all out.

Then, 2 months ago, I decided to get it layered, just like the
picture of Reese Witherspoon on the 4th page. In fact, I actually
brought a picture of Reese from the same photo shoot to show my
stylist her hair style. I've also had bangs most of the time too.
I've always had fringey bangs though. I swear they grow faster
than the rest of my hair!
My hair is friggen short right now its like a boys. I did have
hair down to my shoulders and when summer rolled around I thought
that I should just chop it all off. So my friend cut it, but then
the next day I was totally bummed out on why I cut my hair. Its
only been two weeks but I love it now and so does everyone
else...so I'm happy with my decision.
I tried the layer look one time but the lady who cut my hair
screwed it up so bad it took months for a new hairstylist to get
it to look decent again. I never went back to that lady or the
beauty shop. The lady I go to now can do any hairstyle you pick
out of a book or a magizine. She is an awesome hairstylist. Since
I have problems with my left hand my hair has to be short and easy
to style. Since I get hot in the summer I'm trying to grow my
bangs out. I also have very bad dandruff in the summer and use a
prescription shampoo.
I'm dying for a hair cut. hahhaha
