The One-Piece

Just as hot as a bikini, only easier to pull off!

I could picture myself lounging every day on the beach this Summer; tanning, laughing, bonfires and barbecues. Those exact words flowed merrily through my mind last weekend when I purchased my new pink and black GUESS bikini. Every morning when I woke up, it was sitting there, still attached to the hanger, just staring at me. Its evilness conveying the words, "You'll have to wear me in two weeks!"

The places my imagination takes me. Scary, I know. Although, not as scary as the thought of how much I paid for it, knowing I'll probably never wear it. Definitely an impulse buy and a remorse purchase, as many of us have had when it comes to swim suits.

Okay, so let's face it; we all don't have bodies like Adriana Lima or Carolina Trentini, (nor should we strive to look like them). Finding a perfect swim suit for this summer is not that easy, let alone finding a perfect bikini. Seriously though, bikinis are so overrated. There are so many body types out there and frankly, there just aren't enough two-pieces to select from. No worries though, with Summer pretty much already here, many designers and labels have been coming out with one-piece swim suits. I know what you're thinking; not those terrible Speedo racer-backs that only competitive swimmers wear. Nope, not at all. From cute to classy, scandalous to coonservative, here are this summer's hottest one-pieces...

Sporty Yet Feminine

Halfway to a bikini, this swim suit by Billabong ($78.00) has a triangular, halter tie-up top that gives it that bikini look. Appropriate for girls with a muscular, athletic body. This swimsuit is perfect for the beach or swimming. The top has adjustable straps and padding, so it is suitable for a good work out in the swimming pool.

i love the clean-cut cute, but man!, it costs a lot of money.
who would pay 135.00 for something that they would only wear when
they go to the beach or maybe as that halter top thing they were
talking about. i would buy it if it was less money. but still, it
is cute

these are veryy nice, i LOVE the DKNY one <3 but a one piece isnt
really my style because i have lost weight and kinda wanted to
show it off and be proud, but then again a bikini isnt really my
style either becuase i find it a bit too revealing, so i found
something really cute while browsing the mall. its called a
Tankini its not a full piece and not a bikini but its kinda in
between, with the one i got fro where the bottoms end to where the
top starts you can only see about 2 inches of my stomach which i
like alot :) and it is also a halter top which is good for me
considereing that my bust isnt very big so i have something to
help keep the top up and the bottoms are kinda like short shorts
more than bikinia bottoms which are also really good for me
because i dont really like the tops of my legs so with that style
bottoms it hides them a bit more than a bikinia would. the only
bad thing i found about this swim suit is that it leaves a weird
tan line :( lol because right now my stomach is not tanned exceept
for 2 inces wide going right around :P because of where my top
ends and my bottoms start
a yo this bathing suit is like mad hot!!
the ones I liked: the first one (the billabong one). Very cute.
I'd wear it in a heartbeat. Almost the same for the DKNY one.

One thing to mention... that Miss Selfridge piece might not be so
good one someone who is very boyish-figured in the chest.
Remember, if you have no boobs to hold it up (like me, for
instance, you're talking to miss 34A here! lol), unless you're a
B-cup or bigger, you can't hold up something strapless worth a
crap.
I liked almost all of these bathing suits. Great article! I feel
too exposed in a bikini right now (maybe because I just had a
child three months ago haha) so I'm definitely considering a one
piece for this season. But I want something sexy and these suits
are definitely that!
