2007 MTV Movie Awards

In Case You Missed It

You have to hand it to Sarah Silverman--she really knows how to throw a party. The live broadcast of the 2007 MTV Movie Awards aired last night, chock full of vulgarity, surprises, and, oh yeah...awards.

While Will Ferrell and Sasha Baron Cohen got a little...close accepting their award for "Best Kiss," Rihanna and Jay-Z treated the audience to their summer-smash "Umbrella." Later in the night, Amy Winehouse, her hair, and her attitude were in full force performing her mega-successful "Rehab" while the star-studded crowd sang along.

Pegged as the "anti-Oscars" when it premiered 16 years ago, the show went better than it has in recent memory. It was live, it was raunchy, and it proved that awards shows don't always have to be stuffy.

I despise Sarah Silverman.

There have been better hosts. And those cracks at Paris Hilton
were just plain immature. I don't even like Paris and I'm saying
it's immature. I'm sorry, the only funny part was Will Ferrell
and Sasha and when Jack Nicholson accepted his award. Other than
that...it was a bad award show.
I also say that this awards was one of the worst that I have
watched. They didn't even get to everything they planned on doing.
Also, Sarah Silverman was funny with the first crack about Paris
Hilton, but all her other jokes were plain old mean. and really,
what were some of those stars wearing?!
The only reasons worth watching this year's movie awards was to
see Dane Cook & Johnny Depp!
I am not a Sarah Silverman fan. Her ripping into Paris Hilton was
vaguely amusing, but really, leave the poor girl alone! I don't
find Sarah Silverman's brand of humor all that funny. I adore Amy
Winehouse, but didn't watch the show. Mainly because I don't
enjoy Sarah Silverman.
This was the worst MTV Movie Awards I have ever watched. Sarah
Silverman can be funny, but what happened? I thought the best part
was when she was making fun of Parasite Hilton and seeing the
reaction. This show did not seem like the others because they did
not open the show with the usual movie spoof. The spoofs they had
were by other people. I thought they sucked. I was very
disappointed and I do not think I will waste my time again. I used
to watch this award show all the time. Now its changed for the
worst.
I happen to agree with Susan. I thought Sarah Silverman didnt make
the mtv awards any good. It was the worse one I have ever watch.
She wasnt funny or even entertaining. I just hope next year they
pick a better host.
I watched a clip of Sarah Silverman making fun of Paris Hilton at
the awards...gotta say, it was pretty funny.
Sarah Silverman ripped one on Paris Hilton. It was so funny.
worst mtv movie awards..ever!
I feel so out of it. I didn't even realize this was going on last
night.
The title should be "popcorn" and not "PopCorn"...I like Sarah
Silverman alright, but I can't stand that Amy Winehouse
I think I'm the only person who does not find Sarah Silverman
amusing, or even slightly amusing. She made the show almost
unbearable to watch, at least IMO.
