Forza Motorsport 2Microsoft (Xbox 360)

I don't know much about "motor vehicles," outside of how to drive them - and even then I'm a bit rusty (ha?). If somebody asked me to help them replace their rack and pinion, ball joints and control arms I would assume that they're reconstructing a robot, not a car. With that said, I still found Forza Motorsport 2 a blast to play, whether or not I truly comprehend the depth of it all.

So, you like cars? Well, Forza Motorsport 2 offers up a mind-blowing 300 different models from countless manufacturers - name the make and model and it's here in hi-res glory. Only the Gran Turismo series packs a similar wallop in terms of near-infinite vehicle possibilities. Elegantly splitting up the models so to not confuse newbies, the game uses different "classes" to determine the price and quality of each car available. While this option comes standard with most racing sims, it's important for novice racers to know about so they don't get too intimidated by the hundreds of rubber-burning vehicles at their disposal.
