CrushSega (Sony PSP)

The puzzle genre is usually separated into two distinct groups: Tetris-knockoffs (Polarium, Meteos, etc.) and alternate forms of traditional puzzles (Sudoku, Wordsearch, etc.). Crush is effectively one of the elite few puzzle games (or videogames, come to think of it) that was built from the ground up, with the developers creating a fresh new formula. The only other puzzle game I know that's even remotely similar to Crush is Intelligent Cube, a cult-classic on the original Playstation.

Unlike most puzzle games, Crush has a main character. Dan, a sleepy-headed slacker, has tried nearly everything to help shake his insomnia. That is, until he met Dr. Reubens, a sleep specialist and all-around crackpot. Reubens has devised a foolproof way for Dan to cease his non-sleepiness with a peripheral named CRUSH.
CRUSH is used by connecting directly to the Dan's brainwaves, allowing him to roam freely within his own mind. While wrapped up inside of his brain Dan must collect various neon-bright marbles; collecting the amount needed will grant him access into other parts of his cob-webbed cranium.
