Concert style has to pull double duty -- not only must your outfit be cute enough to score you an invite onto the van post-performance, but it should also be comfortable enough to let you get your groove on. Since your attire will naturally vary depending on what genre you listen to, we've laid out a few style suggestions for some of this summers hottest acts.

Dave Matthews Band
To match the relaxed vibe of this college-rock favorite. your outfit should be effortless. Leather flip flops paired with a rugby shirt and denim shorts shout East-coast college kid louder the crowd when Dave starts playing "Crush."

someone where such tight clothing to a concert you're trying to
have fun not suffocate

but nice article. and the print is on the inside of those shoes.
wear what you WANT to a concert.

you go to a concert to .. HEAR MUSIC and SEE teh band . not try
and impress people.

jesus.
...for thinking that people should wear, maybe, WHAT THEY PLEASE
to a show.

But I do have one gimmick - I tend to wear funny shirts,
especially if there's a chance I'll meet the band. Works like a
charm.
All of the outfits looked horrible except for the whtie jeans with
beyonce's and the skinny jeans and the top with justin timberlake
could pass.
and does any other BSB fan remember there being a fan site out
there where this one girl had rules on concert etiquette with
drawings of her and the boys? She was funny.
The DMB outfit is too preppy for my liking (I'll take the leather
flip flops though..lol), the Allman dress is cute, but I don't
care for the style of the sandals. The Beyonce shirt is too busy,
and I hate pointy toe shoes. However, the white jeans are cute.
The Hot Chip outfit is too plain. And what are up with those
sandals? I usually like 'weird' ideas, but those Jeffrey Campbell
sandals were too strange for my liking. It's like saying "Hi, I
like Boots and Sandals, I can't decide... Whoa, let's mix them!!"
The JT outfit is waayyy too plain, and cliche of my high school
years. I really hated the dashboard confessional outfit. Not just
because I don't like skinny jeans, but the shirt, has a horrible
fit on the model its on too... if she looks bad in it, just
imagine what I'd look like in it. lol.

But yes, the others are right. Wear stuff that breathes, it'll
get hot in there. For instance, when I saw BSB in concert, almost
6 years ago, I wore a really really bright red shirt that breathed
really well. I put my hair up to make it look nice so that it was
off of my neck and I looked nice, but comfortable. Wear platforms
if you're not moshing/dancing/doing anything else crazy if you are
short. Do not wear heels. Heels will make you get tired of
standing and your feet will hurt (well, no duh, but I still saw a
few girls be stupid enough to wear heels to the concert.) Wear
something that's comfortable, but still says that you have taste.
:) And band tees are fine too. Just don't flash the boys because
nobody else wants to see that. lol
Why does Beyonce's outfit look all funky, what happened to the
formatting?
The Justin Timberlake outfit is horrifying. There's a reason
one-shoulder tops went out of style.
everything is UGLY exept for Beyonce's.
Elithia, does your keyboard not have a period button or
something?? Just wondering.
is hot chip??????? sheesh.
and shit, what should i wear to the weird al concert i'm attending
with my crush? lol. (don't worry, not really asking...)
You dress comfortably, of which these outfits are comfortable
looking. And whether you want to admit it or not, you do dress to
impress, most importantly at a concert. Why, you ask? Because
you are going to see something you love and you are going to want
to connect with the other people and not look like a dweeb in the
midst of everyone else.

Plus, you all know you're checking out the hotties in hopes for a
phone number.

So even you all say "Don't sterotype" you all play the game. So
yah.
This is the crappiest article yet. YOU WEAR WHAT YOU WANT.
Individual bands do NOT have fashion expectations. This article
makes me angry.
I have to agree with allisfulloflove.
When you go to a concert...you go there to listen to the music,
and have fun. You shouldn't have to worry that much about what
you're going to wear. lol
i dont think the singers/bands really want us to wear stuff
exactly like them, ie beyonce's. i say just wear something to have
fun.
you people do not know what you are talking about I agree on the
striped polo shirt it is ugly and to hot for a concert when you
are going to a concert you wear something to keep cool and also
where something sexy for my opion I so feel the shorts somehing
cool and a short sleeve shirt skin tight not to tight you want to
be able to breath and the flip flops work something else that
would keep you cool and not to be wearing some high heels you want
to feel comfortable and want to be able to stand and jump and
dance long enough in a concert I feel everything except the shirt
I don't want to be going to a concert looking like a peppermint!
the outfits you have on here, suck!! The only one that is cute
and works is for the Justin Timberlake concert.
or you could be yourself and dress in your own personal style, and
not just dress a way to fit a specific music stereotype.
What...does no one go to country artists concerts??
Wow. I didn't think anybody still wore that style shirt thats in
the Justin Timberlake look.
dashboard confessional...band tees are most appropriate....
those shorts are very inappropriate for a dave show. maybe some
khaki capris...loose ones, or a flowy skirt. the striped polo is
even a little wierd for me.
