Nothing compliments your brand new sundress and perfect pedicure better than a bright white smile. Unfortunately everything from coffee and cigarettes to food can stain your teeth, leaving your pearly whites worse for the wear. With a bit of research to decide what will work best for you, there are a lot of options available to get your smile looking better than ever.

i think the safest method even though it is the most dearest is
the professional in-office method. I think this when using home
whitening kits you could use too much of it and it could make you
very ill or ruin your teeth! Have you ever thought about how they
whiten your teeth? I read in an article in an irish newspaper that
in order to whiten teeth these whiteners often dig down through
the enamel (scratching the surface too) to the next layer of the
tooth which is whiter and more sensitive to food, another way they
work is they make the gums fade in colour so the teeth seem
brighter! Overall what I think is go for professional if you can
or just take extra care and brush teeth properly and then they'll
become whiter.
The tres whitening aren't as high as a bleach kit, but a bit
higher than the strips. But I'm not sure what it was about it -
but it really didn't bother him like the strips did, not sure why.
That's a good idea, Susan. Thanks.

I did speak to the dentist about those trays that they sell; my
dentist takes a casting of your teeth and makes a custom tray.
She did tell me that since there's a higher concentration of
peroxide in those than in White Strips, that it would probably
make my teeth even more sensitive.

I will ask about Tres Whitening just in case it's something
different. Hopefully it's available in Canada :)
Something else that really helps to decrease sensitivity while
using whitening products (or just sensitivity in general) is
fluoride rinse.
i brush with biotene and use crest night effects like once a year
My husband has horribly sensitive teeth, and I brought a trial
home, Tres Whitening, from the dentist. It's a tray with prefilled
gel - he used it and had no problems. He uses it with a whitening
tooth paste, but only uses the gel every two days. It still worked
really good. I was shocked. Most dentists that carry it will give
you samples before you have to buy. Maybe worth a shot?
Great article, Susan.

Unfortunately Crest Whitestrips really make my teeth sensitive.
I've followed the package instructions to cut back on whitening
time and to skip days, but now even just one application is too
much and my teeth ache for a couple of days.

I do use Simply White sporadically and find that it's okay, but
again, too much and it's very painful.

I've heard that a lot of damage can be done with laser whitening,
so I'm just trying to limit my tea, coffee, wine, and pop
consumption and hoping that my teeth will stay whiter naturally :)
You've never heard the saying, 'Sparkling from your teeth to your
toes'? That's what it's based off of ;-)
How on earth would white teeth compliment a pedicure? Haha.
Very cool information. Thank you!
Thanks for writing this article! I may try the strips or
toothpaste! In late August I'll be getting Invisiline braces to
help straighten my teeth.
