Summer; the season of flings, friendship and fun. After being locked in a classroom for the past nine months, I, along with the rest of you, am ready for some fun in the sun. At the end of every school year I, as well as everyone else I'm sure, am determined to make the upcoming summer holiday the best one yet. However; sometimes I'm not even sure how I'd like to spend my day. There's so much to do and it's easy to get caught up and lost in it all. The first rule of having fun this summer is to avoid feeling overwhelmed. You have two (or more) months to enjoy it, so do as much as you can. The second rule; be spontaneous and carefree. Don't back out of doing anything this summer (unless it's illegal) just because you're not used to it. Try everything! Here are just some of the things you can do with your fun and carefree Summer...
Spend lots of time outside
Whether the day is cloudy, scorching hot or a bit rainy, try to avoid staying inside all day. It's summer and you should be outside enjoying the weather, even if it's not the best. Take a rainy day for example, put on your rain boots, gather some friends and jump in the puddles! If the sun is shining and you feel like having a day to yourself, grab a book and read it outside. Listen to music or have a quiet nap in your backyard. Many of the indoor activities you had planned can just as easily be done outside where you can enjoy the summer weather. After all, even rain is better than the blistering cold .
