The Secret Behind a Good Kids' Program

Do you recognize the graphic above? Apparently those...things are on a popular kids' television show, BooBah. It doesn't look promising.

What do you think makes a great kids' show? Unlike the children's programs of today, I don't think the answer is high-tech animation or too-crazy characters (cough American Dragon: Jake Long cough). I think it's having a likeable, kid-friendly host who doesn't pander to the viewers and who genuinely loves children. With that in mind, I decided to take a look back at the three hosts from some of the best kids' shows.

I know why steve had to leave....but i dont know if its
appropriate to post on kiwibox lol
I remember the shows that use to come on when I was growing up,
like chip & dale rescue rangers, and bonkers. what happened to
those shows? they were better than kids watch now.
LAMB CHOP'S PLAY-ALONG!! I LOVED THAT SHOW!!
the reason that Mr. Rogers always wore long sleeves was because he
had tattoos?

Also, my niece and nephew quit watching Blues Clues after Steve
left. Joe just wasn't the same to them.

You know what I remember a lot of as a kid? Reading Rainbow, where
it was hosted by kids. I watched a lot of Reading Rainbow as a
kid.

I really liked the old cast from TVO Kids. I can't remember all
their names, but there was Patty and Joe and some other guy...made
that channel real fun to watch when I was growing up.
You forgot Mr. Dressup :) lol I used to love Mr.Dressup when I was
a kid.

I remember see this show before :O
Lamb Chop's Play-Around....
And CLue's Blue too...

I ADORED Mr. Rogers. it was so sweet and understandable, and that
shoe =], lamb chop was amazing I cant really remember it but it
was fun none the less i have a beanie baby i named lamb chop. Blue
clues. Once Steve left, i stopped watching. NO ONE can replaced
steve. =D
