It's been proven that people who listen to music while they exercise lose more weight and are able to work-out longer than those who are tuneless. Up your fitness level and your mood by pumping up the jams while you pump the iron or hit the pavement. While the studies never said the kind of music those participating were listening to, it's safe to say very few people were getting trim jamming out to Jeff Buckley.

"The Wind Beneath my Wings" isn't going to keep you from getting winded, but here are the top 20 songs that will.

1) Tapes n' Tapes-Just Drums
2) The Raconteurs-Steady as She Goes
3) Fergie-Fergalicious
4) Hot Hot Heat-Naked in the City Again
5) Bloc Party-Banquet
6) Franz Ferdinand- This Fire
7) Islands-Rough Gem
8) N.E.R.D.-Breakout
9) Peter Gabriel-Solsbury Hill
10) Fatboy Slim- The Rockafeller Skank
11) Gorillaz-Feel Good Inc.
12) Michael Jackson-Don't Stop Til You Get Enough
13) S.O.S-The Police
14) Britney Spears-Toxic
15) Justin Timberlake-Summer Love
16) Journey-Don't Stop Believing
17) Styx-Renegade
18) Queen-Killer Queen

Breakdown - Plain White T's

Famous Last Words - My chemical Romance

Gone Forever - Three Days Grace

Rock the Casbah - Trust Company

Epiphany - Bad Religion

Drones - Rise Against

Her Legacy - With Broken Wings

Three Simple Words - Finch

Theres No Turning Back Now - Cody Finck

A Walk By Your Side - Devin Meaney
Really now, the music depends on the person listening to it. For
me that crap there just wouldn't work. I need something like
Mariannas Trench, Senses Fail, Default, Creed, Plain White T's
(Breakdown is an amazing workout song.. makes ya wanna keep going
and going). Anything rockish will keep me going!
Mickey?

Toni Basil?

is it like "Hey there Mickey, you're so fine..." and it's from the
80's?
I haven't heard of most of these songs. The only ones I know are
Journey, Styx (I LOVE Renegade, thanks to Supernatural), and
Queen. I have heard a few seconds of Fergie and Britney. How about

Bon Jovi's It's My Life or the song Mickey (not sure who sings
it).
The ones that I work out to are songs like

"Just want you to know"- BSB
"New Way Home"- Foo Fighters
"Dizzy"- Goo Goo Dolls
"Stay With You"- Goo Goo Dolls

Many Aqua songs are good for workouts too.

oh, and ANYTHING by Cascada gets me moving. Her music just has
such a good energizing beat to it. For those who don't remember
Cascada, she's the one who had a song a while back called "Every
Time We Touch"
eye of the tiger 100%. if you can get to the top of that hill with
that song playing, you best get back to the television
mike, i like your song choices! right on!
i don't agree with SOS and Don't stop believing. Those aren't even
really dance songs! and ray of light? come on! they're great
songs, but not for a workout...
where's "Eye of the Tiger"?
More Bloc Party & Hot Hot Heat!!! And maybe some Senses Fail ,From
Autum to Ashes, Eighteen Visions, The Cranberries, Incubus, The
Higher, No Doubt/Gwen Stfeani and to top it off The Used. Now that
would keep me movin' all day.
nix on journey and styx? damn...just cut out some of my favorite
stuff then. Too bad Styx best stuff came out in the 70's.

I like to listen to mostly rock. Anything from Queen and Styx to
Korn and Godsmack and AC/DC.
ACDC - for those about to rock

Rad Sountrack - John Farnham - Break The Ice.mp3

Rocky 4 Soundtrack- Training Montage.mp3

The Go Team - Ladyflash.mp3

Karate Kid Soundtrack - You're The Best.mp3

some of the best songs ever :)
"nix on styx and journey" but your username IS
journey....lol....too funny L:)
Fegie? Please. That would make me pull my MP3 player earplugs out
of my ears, toss it in the nearest garbage, and then run from
that.
The same goes for the Gorillaz, Britany Spears, Justin Timberlake,
Outkast, and Madonna.
no crappy 80s...nix on styx and journey. puhlease.
Someone else listens to Bloc Party? Wow.

Brain on Ska - Mustard Plug
Devil's Dance Floor - Flogging Molly...or anything quick by
Flogging Molly, really.
Time Turn Fragile - Motion City Soundtrack
whenever our volleyball team goes to the weight room, we always
have to hear:

"change your mind"- the all-american rejects
&
"TNT"- ACDC

"tambourine"- eve ft. swizz beatz is also a good one.
A few I recommend:

"This Ain't A Scene..." - Fall out Boy

"Survivor" - Destiny's Child

"Rock Star (jason nevins remix) - N.E.R.D.

"Taking Back Control: - Sparta

"Get Myself Into It" - The Rapture
Top of the world-All american Rejects
Oh La La-Goldfrapp
two good ones i was just running to
Queen-Don't Stop Me
Brand New - 70 times seven
Panic! at the Disco- Time to Dance
Fall Out Boy- Music or the Misery

i have a nice little punk play list with some oldies in there
chemical brothers - push the button
rooney - i'm a terrible person
eye of the tiger by survivor
banquet, don't stop believing, and killer queen alllways make me
wanna mooooove.
tom petty- running down a dream
16) Journey-Don’t Stop Believing
17) Styx-Renegade
18) Queen-Killer Queen
