Mario Party 8Nintendo (Wii)

The morning of Mario Party 8's release, pre-gameplay:
Wii like to party! Wii like, Wii like to party!
Don't mind me: I'm just thrilled over the idea of playing Mario Party 8 on the Wii. And why not? One of the only flaws of the Mario Party series has been the lack of reinvention. Now that it's out on the Wii I am positive that all kinks have been ironed out, barring the unavoidable problem of playing a party game solo (helpful hint: Don't purchase a Mario Party game if you don't have friends play video games...or if you don't have friends altogether!).
It's simple mathematics:
Mario + Friends + Wii = sWiieet!

Mario Party 8, like every other game in the series, takes place on a game board of sorts where players must collect a certain amount of stars (and coins) to win the board. Earning stars is done by winning the various minigames that open up when you land on specific squares on the board.
In this, the eighth entry, the boards and numerous minigames are still intact. The gameplay is also the same outside of the newfangled control (which is outstanding, by the way). The most noteworthy addition to the core game is the addition of morphing your character into a new form. For instance, if Wario eats Vampire Candy he will transform into a - you guessed it - vampire with the ability to take away coins from wealthier players by means of biting and such.
With new boards, characters and options galore, Mario Party 8 is, like, going to be the best party ever!
