Couples Making Music

From the beginning of time, love has always played an enormous role in the music industry, whether artists sing about being in love, falling out of love and of course, unrequited love.

Love songs are so popular simply because everyone can relate to them. The power of love is so strong and captivating which is exactly why people are so mesmerized by the feelings that go hand in hand with being in love. And that is exactly why falling out of love or being in love with someone who doesn't feel the same way is so stressful and painful at times.

Successful artists have connected with their fans by singing about their love affairs with one another, and although some didn't work out, many are still going strong.

Beyonce and Jay-Z - "Crazy in Love"

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z met while working on an album together in 2002 and since then have become America's "Dynamic Duo", both holding down their powerhouse status in hip hop and R&B music This talented couple's single, "Crazy in Love" was a number one hit not only in the U.S., but also around the world. The song was released from Beyonce's debut album in the summer of 2003, Dangerously in Love.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have held true to much of the lyrics in their song - "Cuz your love got the best of me / And baby you're making a fool of me / You got me sprung and I don't care who sees / Cuz baby you got me so crazy" - and despite the false rumors that surfaced earlier this year about the couple breaking up, these two are crazy in love with each other.

"What It's Like To Be Me" by Britney and Justin was on Britney's
album titled Britney, not OOps!...I Did It Again. Just thought
you'd like to know.
first, i wanna say that i had no idea that aaliyah and r kelly
ever had a thing let alone get illegally married. she was too good
for that fool.

and i wanna say i think jessica and nick are my favorite couple on
the whole article.
What It's Like to Be Me was on the album "Britney," not "Oops..."
Obviously the author did her research on this article because the
Tim McGraw/Faith Hill song came out on the c.d. everywhere in
1997. That would make it hard for the song to have been in a
collaboration in 2000.
the Faith Evans/Notorious B.I.G (RIP) song has the same beat as
that Ashanti song...

I agree that the Nick Lachey/Jessica Simpson song was one of the
best love songs. I really thought they were going to survive!
But Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are the true definition of true
live.
How can you cheat on someone as yummy as Justin?? Are you stupid
woman!
I didn't know Justin and Britney did a duet. Well, I am glad they
split because obviously Britney doesn't know her priorities.

The hottest song/duet was Where you Are by Jessica Simpson and
Nick Lachey. Perfect love song. Same with Faith and Tim
This is a really good article, unique and interesting,
entertaining. Brought back a whole lot of memories for me.

Thank you =)
i think that most of these songs are sweet and i think that they
were all beautiful couples at on time
Typo fixed!

Great list and great choices overall.

Good list. Sometimes with these relationships, it's hard to know
how much is genuine and how much is a publicity stunt.
One correction (very minor): I believe that Aaliyah's song is At
Your Best (You Are Love). not Loved
great article. i'm a huge tim and faith fan. it's beyond obvious
how much they love each other and it makes you believe what they
are singing.

<3
it kinda looks like their in love i don't here from them that much
so i really don't know.
ok that song isnt marc anthony and jlo's first collaboration,
theres
no me ames
thats on her cd... on the 6...u mean their first as a couple rite?
haha I hope the sentence "it is obvious that they truly do love
each other." regarding JLO and Marc Anthony is tongue in cheek
because that video is so awwwkward!

But aside from that, good article! Tim & Faith are adorable :D
