Fun Ways to Keep Cool

Summer is finally here and with rest and relaxation comes the nice, yet sometimes unbearable heat. Instead of staying cooped up in your house in your air-conditioned room why not step go outside and cool yourself with some of these nifty items? We will start off with the thrifty items first and then head on over to the pricier ones.

Simply put, the easiest way to cool off is taking a quick dip in the pool. Unfortunately, not all of us own pools and therefore need to be a little bit more creative. One of the cheapest and most fun ways to cool off when the summer heat is out of control is with water balloons. You can snatch up a whole pack of them for a low as $1.50. Not bad huh?

Another cheap alternative is cooling down with an old-fashioned garden hose, which is as cheap as $7.75. The water may be slightly cold (or even worse, inconsistently very cold then very warm), but it will definitely be refreshing...?

nice article!
i <3 old school super soakers hahah
my neighbors and I lived in the pool growing up but once we hit
junior high the pool was always filled with little annoying kids
(to us anyway) and we werent exactly a small group. We had a lot
of space (3 or 4 back yards that all went in one strip) so we set
up tarps and water hoses, got everything around us soaked, and
covered the tarps in dish soap.
the yards were slightly bumpy but since it was all grass and
slightly slanted down so it was a lot of fun and not as painful as
it could have been. I prefer tarps to real slipnslides though
because they dont tear as easily and they suprisingly didnt hurt
as much on our skin.
Fun article!

I love your suggestions. They all look like fun. :o)
hahaha hooorrraayy!
haha, I love this article, it makes me laugh. :) Good times, good
times, on the slip'n'slide.
