There are a lot of TV shows today that revolve around fantasy or science fiction. Rather than simply tuning into the SciFi channel and watching every show it airs, you can look through this short list and read about the most popular fantasy shows today.
Charmed is about three witch sisters named Piper, Paige, and Phoebe Halliwell. At first there was another sister, Prue, but she died and was replaced by their long lost half sister (Paige). The sisters must work together to vanquish evil while saving the lives of "Innocents." Here's the catch though: no one knows that they have powers so they must keep it a secret, even from those they love. Each sister has different powers to contribute to the group. Piper has the power of freezing molecules and therefore stopping time. This later develops into the power of separating molecules and blowing things up. Phoebe gets the power of premonition (which allows her to see the future and the past.) At a later time she learns to levitate and read emotions. Paige gets the power to "orb," or instantaneously move from place to place. This show airs reruns on TNT.
