Constantine

American Idol star, Constantine Maroulis, is set to release his self-titled debut album on August 7, 2007. For those of you who don't remember who Constantine is, he was the performer from American Idol's fourth season who would always look into the camera as if he was some sexy stud-muffin. He's the competitor who left Paula Abdul astounded when voted off. Most of all, he was the musician who had "the best sense of showmanship"...according to Abdul.

Since Constantine was voted off American Idol (he came in sixth place) he has boosted both his music and acting career. Constantine starred in Broadway's performance of The Wedding Singer as Sammy in the fall of 2006. He is currently starring in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Constantine Parros, a record producer and singer.

Constantine is a fairly diverse and electrifying album. Although I cannot say that I'm a fan of every song, they all reflect his vocal range and talent. He is not just some cornflake, but rather a very skilled musician. Granted, I must state that some of his lyrics are a little on the cheesy side. In "Favorite T-Shirt" he sings "I just want back my ****/ Before we are history I'm taking my favorite t-shirt and Purple Rain record too/ I believe they're overdue/ No they don't belong to you." Greedy, are we?

Judging by the cover alone, it is obvious that the CD would be entertaining. He has the typical "stud-muffin" look sitting on the floor in what seems to be an empty room. The album is filled with songs that I absolutely love, while others I could have done without. "Everybody Loves" instantly puts you in a good mood with upbeat and catchy lyrics, "Everybody loves, everybody cries/ Everybody dreams of a perfect life/ and that's all right." "Midnight Radio" is a sparkling, beautiful song that emotes more than your average Idol alumni slow jam. Constantine also brings back old favorites such as "Girl Like You" and "So Long."

The variety on the CD shows that Constantine was made for this industry, incorporating a lot of emotion into every song he performs. Constantine may not have won American Idol, but he certainly has won in other aspects of the music industry.

It's nice to see him back. :D
^^These two words from the review beautifully sum up just what is
so appealing about Constantine as a performer. With every song he
sings, from rockin' out to a tender love song, he creates
something beautiful with the magic he brings. I've also had the
thrill the all of these songs performed live, and am delighted
they will soon be available on CD. "Heaven Help the Lonely" is a
personal fave, and "Everybody Loves" is guaranteed to get you
singing along. Pure joy for the ears. :)
For all Constantine fans who have looked forward to this day since
Black Wednesday SOON is here. I couldn't be happier with the end
result. This is an amazing debut CD by an amazing artist. Every
track filled with his joy and passion. No doubt when people hear
this CD many new fans will come his way.
Having now heard all the songs that are on the CD live I can say
that I am so excited about this release!! I know without a doubt
it is going to be fantastic. The music is going to be a gift to
all of his fans that have stayed loyal and waited for this CD for
over two years.
The CD features a feel good summer hit that you just can't stop
yourself from singing along to and some soulful ballads that you
feel to the bottom of your heart. Constantine is the master of
taking a song and making you believe it and he will not disappoint
with this mix of songs that are displayed on the CD. August 7th
will not come fast enough for me. :)
Constantine Maroulis' new CD will be absolutely fantastic.
Everybody Loves is such a fun, feel-good song that just makes you
smile when you hear it.

He performed it on CBS yesterday in The Bold & The Beautiful and
it was wonderful.

He is also the sexiest man on earth!!!!

I can't wait until August 7th and to see him live in concert
again!!!
I think that Constantine's CD is going to be extremely popular!
He is a talented singer and puts his whole heart and soul into
each song he sings. The song "Everybody Loves" is very singalong,
very finger snapping and very upbeat. Songs like "So Long" are
sung with much emotion. He is a very cool guy! Cares about
everything he does and it definitely shows! I am definitely
buying his CD, I can't wait!

YAY!
I absolutely adore Constantine and cannot WAIT for his cd. This
guy is extremely talented. My absolute favorites from the cd are
"Girl Like You", "Everybody Loves", "Midnight Radio", and "Heaven
Help The Lonely". I'll definatly be buying his cd.
They worked this video into Bold & the Beautiful.. Which I am a
huge fan of the show but I dont really like his character.. And
personally I dont think they should have put it into the story
line but knowing they did that, many of the daytime drama viewers
will probably go out and buy the cd, but I wont but they probably
will like this on other guy from my moms time did... LOL
There are better quality versions that don't look as obnoxious.

But I agree, this is a song I'd rather listen to and not have to
watch - at all. I'm sure I'll buy it, Im always open to listening
to something new.
are they serious? this has to be the cheapest produced video ever.
it looks like I took my $299 video camera from Walmart and filmed
myself on vacation! haha and what's up with the souvenir shop?
Nothing says expensive music video production than the tourist
trap souvenir shop at Universal Studios! haha

lol he's cool guy though, kinda funny when he's out and about
haha.
