Tired of the countless pop stars who sell themselves solely on their image or notoriety? Meet BarlowGirl: A Christian rock group made up of three sisters, Rebecca, Alyssa and Lauren. Making a stand in what they believe in, their music focuses on trusting God, purity and not dating.

Band History

The Elgin, Illinois natives have been playing together since the late/90s, writing original songs at a steady pace while backing their father's musical performances for youth groups. By 2002, the girls had enough material to record a full-length album; in 2004 they released their first album, the self-titled BarlowGirl.

The lead single from their debut, "Never Alone," was a major hit on the Christian Rock circuit, staying at the top of the Christian Hit Radio longer than any song in 2004.


By 2005 the girls had garnered a large fanbase and were already in the studio recording their follow-up to their debut, titled Another Journal Entry. Upon its release in late September of that year BarlowGirl had yet another successful album under their collective belt, with "Let Go" and "I Need You to Love Me" both getting serious radioplay from Christian Rock stations nationwide.

Their new album, How Can We Be Silent, slated to come out this month. And if their new single "Here's My Life" is an indicator of things to come their fans will be lucky indeed.
