King Tut was a pharaoh during the period of Egyptian history known as the New Kingdom, ruling from 1333 BC to 1324 BC, beginning when he was only nine! Contrary to popular belief, King Tut wasn't as important as people make him seem today. His claim to fame was actually the sole fact that his tomb was found completely intact by Howard Carter in 1922.
