So, apparently what we want, what we really really want is to see the Spice Girls in concert. The "girl power" quintet will be bringing their platform shoes and their catchy pop tunes back to Spiceworld starting in December for their reunion world tour. The eleven (some websites say 26) scheduled shows will be their first concerts since breaking up in 2001, and the first with all five of the original group since Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell quit to pursue a solo career in 1998. The tour will kick off in Vancouver on December 2, 2007 and continue to spice up venues into the New Year.
Many news outlets are reporting that the December 15 show in the Girls home of London, sold out in 38 seconds. And because of massive demand for tickets two more London dates have been added to the roster, December 16 and 18, with a fourth concert proposed for January 2, 2008. The reformed girl group - Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell - will also perform in Los Angeles, New York, Sydney, Cape Town and Hong Kong.
There is also talk of a Greatest Hits album due to hit stores in November.
