You might have seen the movie with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey and chuckled to yourself while thinking, "Wow, if I were ever to treat a guy like that he'd be gone in ten seconds." Reality check, ladies: sometimes you do. Although the movie did a fairly good job explaining (and over-exaggerating) some of the quirky (and annoying) things we women do that scare our men off, here's a handful of things you might want to be especially aware of in all relationships.
Showing Affection

Most women make the mistake of becoming too attached to their guy too quickly and soon feel the unexplainable urge to shower their new guy with- perhaps unwanted- affection. You buy him cuddly teddy bears, get him a T-shirt with your face on it, and make plans to spend every second together. My advice to you: check out the expression on his face. Is it surprise or outright fear? Instead of decorating his locker or embarrassing him in front of the guys at football practice by screaming "I love you" try something a little more subtle. If you want to show your early-on affection, try writing messages on sticky notes such as "I miss you" or "I can't wait to see you tonight!" and put them in places you know he'll find them.
