I walked into this film not knowing anything more about it than the fact that this was a comedy about an imperfect marriage and that it had Janet Jackson in it. But I figured hey, Janet Jackson was pretty funny on the show Armed and Famous so this is bound to be at least somewhat worth watching. Well, it's actually about four marriages on the rocks, not one, and it's just as much a serious drama as it is a comedy. The basic premise is that relationship guru Patricia (Janet Jackson) wrote a book about how her, her husband and three other couples all go on a vacation together each year to remember exactly why they got married and calmly work out any marital problems that they might be having. The book talked about how all four of the couples were able to stay strong and work things out calmly because of the trips. But since this is a comedy, I'm not even sure that I need to say that things don't hold up for everyone as well as the book may have suggested.
