Want to be your Guardian Angels!

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have always been determined to get their music across to the masses. Now, it's an important message about domestic violence that they want you to hear. The band, known for their smash radio hits "Face Down" and "False Pretense," is back with their third single called "Your Guardian Angel" off of their major label debut Don't You Fake It.

The song, "Your Guardian Angel" has taken on two separate meanings. A true heartfelt love song, "You Guardian Angel" originally showed lead singer Ronnie Winters' letting down his guard and expressing his love for a significant other, now it has turned into the anthem of an anti-domestic violence campaign.

For the second year in a row, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is continuing their support against domestic violence. Starting October 16, 2007 and running through November 25, 2007 The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus will be running a contest alongside the release of their latest single "Your Guardian Angel." To enter the contest/campaign you can submit personal videos of your "guardian angel" by uploading the videos to the bands contest site or YouTube. The winner will receive $1,000 for themselves and a $1,000 donation in your "guardian angels" name to The Red Jumpsuit Guardian Angel Foundation.

This isn't the first time The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has tackled the sensitive issue of domestic violence, the bands first single of off Don't You Fake It "Face Down" hits close to home for Winters' with the lyrics, "Do you feel like a man when you push her around? /Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground?"

Winters has said that domestic violence is something everyone sees but rarely does anything about it because they become so accustomed to it. Instead of ignoring it, he made the choice to write about domestic violence and released the message to the masses.

In July of this year Don't You Fake It was certified gold, and the band is currently touring the U.S and Canada.
