Lately, not one day goes by without a news update on the rollercoaster ride that has become Britney Spears. Despite her running over a paparazzi's foot and losing her kids for the second time, it's easy to forget that she has a new album coming out on October 30, 2007.Her new album, appropriately titled Blackout is Spears' first album of all new material in four years. Originally scheduled to be released on November 13, 2007, Spears' label Jive Records moved up the release date because of numerous internet leaks (*ahem* Perez Hilton) but few of the leaked songs actually made it onto Blackout, according to Jive Records who released the official track listing last week.
Blackout contains twelve tracks of Euro-synthpop dance music and leads off with her first single, "Gimme More" proclaiming: "It's Britney...Bitch." The single, produced by Nate "Danja" Hills, has already reached No.3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts; she has also become the No.1 download on I-tunes for the song and the music video. Her previous album, In the Zone topped the charts and sold over 609,000 copies in its first week making Spears the only female in music history to have her first four studio albums debut at No.1.
