Carving and painting pumpkins have become a tradition for most everyone around Halloween. But pumpkins are gaining popularity for something else... After the Jack-O-Lantern is lit and the scary faces have been painted, what do you do with the guts of the pumpkin? Use it on YOUR face of course! At spa's all across America, pumpkins are being whipped into a creation that resembles... well, pumpkin pie filling.

Pumpkin actually makes a great face mask and has become the new fall facial craze! The Pumpkin facial is suitable for all skin types, especially environmentally damaged or sensitive skin. It is enriched with Vitamin A that heals your skin, Vitamin C that is an anti-oxidant and Zinc. The pumpkin soothes, moisturizes and assists the other mask ingredients to absorb deeper into the skin, so you see fast results. Many skin-care experts swear by vitamin rich pumpkin for your complexion.

Pumpkin Pie Face Mask

Ingredients

-2 teaspoons cooked or canned pumpkin,
-pureed one-half teaspoon honey
-one-quarter teaspoon milk (or soymilk)

Optional Ingredients

For Dry Skin
one-quarter teaspoon heavy whipping cream
-or-
one-half teaspoon brown sugar

For Oily Skin
one-quarter teaspoon apple cider
-or-
one-quarter teaspoon cranberry juice

Mix all the ingredients for your pumpkin facemask. Gently apply to your face avoiding the eye area. Rest and relax for 10-15 minutes while your pumpkin pie facemask exfoliates, nourishes and conditions your face. Rinse with warm water and apply the appropriate moisturizer for your skin type.

Did you know that pumpkin and lavender combined is supposed to be
one of the most sexy scents you can wear?

Wow, what a great way to use the "guts" of a pumpkin. When I was
younger, we'd always just pitch out all of the innards. But this
is a great way to reuse the pulp remnants and beautify your skin.
Thanks for the tips!
Sounds like a good idea, but pumpkin guts stink pretty bad in my
opinion.
