Clive Barker's Jericho

Anything that bears the Clive Barker seal of approval and comes chock full of monsters, gore, and Nazi zombies should make for a a fairly frightening game, right?
While it's a great concept, it's one that seems to be lost through gameplay and weak, if any, scares.
Before Adam and Eve were created it was rumored that God made someone else. Seeing that what he had created was too great, God cast it into the Abyss. The Firstborn made several attempts at escaping and thus the Jericho Squad was formed to keep the creature from ever returning to Earth.
