Not everyone is always gung-ho about Thanksgiving, especially when it comes to the food. Sure, you love the cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes, and you really love that stuffing, but there's something about the actual turkey that just turns you off. Maybe it's because your Mom cooks the bird so badly that the thought of it makes you want to yak. No matter the reason, below are some turkey-less recipes that won't make you run to the nearest garbage can.
GLAZED TOFURKY
recipe from Conveniently Vegan, by Debra Wasserman

One of the funniest words in the English language, really does exist and mostly on Thanksgiving. Tofurky has become iconic with Vegetarians and Vegan's on this Pilgrim Holiday while the imitation turkey doesn't look appetizing we have heard that it is delish.
Ingredients:
1 pound Tofurky, chopped into bite-size chunks
10.5-ounce can mandarin oranges, drained
10-ounce jar apricot jam
1/4 cup molasses
2 Tablespoons orange juice
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees, next spread out chopped Tofurky in a 9"x9"x2" square pan. Top off the Tofurky with the oranges, then mix the remaining ingredients together and pour mixture over the Tofurky and oranges. Bake the Tofurky in an oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes and serve warm over a bed of rice.
