For Futurama addicts, the past four years have been a black hole of sorts. When production of the show came to a halt in 2003, fans were forced to subsist on DVD box sets and Cartoon Network reruns. But this simply wouldn't do. Like any rabid fanbase worth its plutonium, they made the demand for the show so great that it couldn't be ignored. The result is Bender's Big Score, the first of four feature-length DVD-exclusive Futurama movies. Check out what producer David X. Cohen had to say about the new movie, Al Gore's antics, and partial alien nudity.

Kiwibox: So, tell us a bit about the plot of Bender's Big Score.
David: Since this was our return to life, we wanted to please our hardcore sci-fi fans. For them, we have a really huge and crazy time travel plot which involves traveling through time and looting the world of its treasures and then we bring it back down to Earth. I'm not gonna give too much away, but it involves the love lives of Leela and Fry.
As far as the overall events that set this in motion, it begins on the Nude Beach Planet and that's due to the fact that we have no network censor anymore. We didn't have to get approval of anything from anybody so we're allowed to show plenty of alien nudity. The crew encounters some nudist alien Internet scammers and they have to fight back against them.
