Like dynamic duo's before them, Bert and Ernie, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and Paris and Nicole...Bow Wow and Omarion are setting out to make history. Since "Let Me Hold You" hit the airwaves back in 2005, collaborating on more projects was always in the back of Bow Wow and Omarion's minds. "It is a dream come true project," says Bow Wow.
The project Bow Wow is referring to is his and Omarion's full collaboration on the upcoming release of Face Off on December 11, 2007 on Columbia Records. One of the album's tracks, "Hood Star" has been making the rounds online since September, but it's "Girlfriend" that is on the radio now.
The two performers are hardly strangers, Bow Wow and Omarion have been friends for six and a half years, having partnered on past Scream tours, and the single "Let Me Hold You." The earth shattering collaboration was actually in the making years ago, when O was still with B2K.
"It was about four and a half years ago, and the original idea was B2K and Bow Wow," Bow Wow says. "We were actually workin' the deal."
You know what they say, certain things happen for a reason and it is now Bow Wow and Omarion "giving the girls what they want."
"You know if Bow Wow and Omarion comin' together...it has to be bigger than life," Omarion says. "It was only right; it was what the fans have been wanting."
