The story begins when Mario finds one of five Sky Crystals and, unable to keep his discovery to himself, shows them off to all his friends. In what the Mario's crew believes to be a completely unrelated twist of fate, Bowser invites the gang over for an endless buffet party at his castle. Sure, he's their sworn enemy, but these are snacks we're talking about. Upon arrival, Bowser steals the crystal, shrinks the crew, and flings them to the other side of the kingdom, where - Shocker! - There is nary a snack in sight.
