Super Commercials

The good, the bad, and The Godfather.

Super Bowl commercials have always provided a welcome break in the big game for those who have not been assigned the arduous task of refilling the bean dip. This has never been truer, as most of the action in Super Bowl XLII (save for a spry Tom Petty during halftime) did not occur until the last five minutes of the game. Considering that a 30-second spot fetches advertisers a cool $2.7 million, you'd think that they'd use their time wisely. After re-watching some of these clips, let us know if you've figured out what exactly salesgenie.com is selling. Because we still have no idea.

Audi - The Godfather

This cinematically stellar ad was shown early on in the game, and definitely lent itself to some head-scratching if you're one of the two people in the world who haven't seen the Godfather. Audi puts the kibosh on "Old Luxury", when their elderly rival awakes to find himself covered in motor oil with the grill of an older vehicle laying at his feet.
