Fashion Week Diary: Day 2

Flying solo during a day at the tents in Bryant Park is a good and bad thing. Good, for the stealth-like and quicker ways to get into shows, but also bad because you have no one to trade comments with or keep you occupied during the down time.

I arrived at the Tents a little before 10AM, and was greeted with a huge mob trying to get into the Lacoste show. Even though I didn't have an invitation, I tried anyway (sometimes you get lucky). A sweet PR rep told me they wish they could get me in, but the house was full to capacity. No worries, I was going to wait until the next show.

The Academy of Art University, mainly the school of Fashion presented nine collections-all from recent graduates. With seven womenswear collections and two menswear collections it was really interesting to see what they came up with. Hailing from all over the world, the ten designers showcased their nine collections for the first time in the tents.

Juhee Chung's Swarovski Crystal sponsored collection featured black wool suits and wool petal dresses accented by silver brooches and accessories.
