True romance is hard to come by in life; it can take days, months and even years. To get a quick fix all we need to do is flip a cover. The authors of classic novels just couldn't get enough romance. Sure, not all of their couples lived "happily ever after," but they have contributed to some of the most romantic storylines in history. No date on the big day? Curl up with one of these books and live vicariously through these pairs--minus the heartbreak.

Romeo and Juliet from Romeo and Juliet
Of course Shakespeare's most famous star-crossed lovers had to start the list. She's a Capulet, he's a Montague--a fate worse than being separated by rival high schools. Can their closed-minded families really keep them apart? You probably know how this story ends, but it is definitely worth the re-read.

Gatsby and Daisy from The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald knew what he was talking about when it came to complicated relationships. These once-lovers are reunited during an ill-fated summer vacationing in eastern Long Island. There is much mystery about Gatsby and their relationship and adding more trouble is Daisy's new wealthier than Puff Daddy husband. Almost as star-crossed as Juliet and Romeo themselves, this couple will keep you flipping the pages faster than you realize.
