The "B" word is ugly, disgusting and can make anyone sick. We're talking about Bacteria people. This unicellular microorganism and its other five nonillion friends in the world hide on pretty much every surface, in every glass and in everyone waiting for the perfect time to strike you down in the prime of life.

Below are some tips for beating bacteria, courtesy of the Tyra Banks Show:

TOOTHBRUSH

By keeping your toothbrush in the medicine cabinet, you will avoid germs from your toilet that get thrust into the air every time you flush. It is also important to change your toothbrush every one to two months.

BUFFET

Anything with a mayo base (salads--tuna, chicken and egg) doesn't stay fresh in room temperature. Also take food from the back of the pan, it is less likely to have been touched by anyone, and avoid communal condiments.

SUPERMARKET

Not to look too OCD, but in order to not spread germs use a disinfecting wipe on cart handles. It's always good to also carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer just in case.
