Spring Break Movies

No, not that kind.

The irony of Spring Break is that when your much awaited time off finally rolls around, March still hasn't quite eased out of its "Lion" stage, so the weather often isn't very spring-like at all. Unless you plan on jet-setting off to some tropical locale (in which case, I hate you), there's a good chance that your break will consist of a combination of working and vegging out. Make the most of your downtime and check out these vacation-themed movies that might actually make you glad that you stayed home.

National Lampoon's Vacation

The Griswold clan becomes living proof of Murphy's Law when what was supposed to be a fun-filled vacation turns into a giant misadventure, but at least it's funny. For us, anyway. On their ill-fated road trip to Wally World, Mr. Griswold wrecks their wood-paneled station wagon, their Aunt Edna keels over on their watch, and they accidentally kill her pup Dinky. But at the end, they finally accomplish what they set out to do, so that makes it all worth it right? Uh, right.
