Bryan Adams was on to something when he wrote "Summer of '69" although a few decades later and one year short of the era in which the Spring season is embracing with open arms, we suddenly find ourselves immersed in flower power, peace signs and a full on Hippie revival at the mercy of our free spirited designers.

High waisted pants, bell-bottoms, platforms, off-the-shoulder tops and retro prints proclaimed the return of groovy 1970's fashions, thanks to Miss Sixty and Nannette Lepore during New York Fashion Week.
From bountiful florals to delicate layers to luminescent colors, the Spring runways were as whimsical and girly as it gets--although some designers borrowed styles from the boys showcasing a few sharply cut suits to throw the girlish trend for a loop.
