After shooting in Ravello at Villa Cimbrone- an exclusive, luxurious hotel that only has 16 rooms and flies their guests via helicopter to the hotel from the airport- it was a wrap.
Friday was definitely the most exhausting day of all- the weather wasn't so great, and the constant climbing up mountains drained everyone. We did shoot one of my favorite shots, though: our model Massimo (in an aviation-inspired outfit) climbed atop an antique urn about 12 feet high and stood on it as if he were going to sprout wings and fly off at any second. The day was approaching dusk and as the light slowly began to dwindle, we all hurried to get that last shot in. I can't wait to see that one in the issue.
Back at the hotel, everyone got to relax before dinner (we were going out that night to a place on the water close by). Everyone, that is, but me...I had to reconfigure the clothing racks in the dressing room, reorganize and do fittings for the following day. I was so looking forward to 20 minutes in the Jacuzzi but I knew that wasn't happening.
