Are L.A.'s Starlets Slowly Disappearing?

It's the new magic act that actually happens right before oureyes. Sometimes the trick happens in the blink of an eye, and sometimes it takes a very long time to occur. It's the magic trick that stars like Linday Lohan, Nicole Richie, and Kate Bosworth have all pulled on us. The disappearing act.

Lately, the pin up girl of the past century is working her way out of fashion. Sure, we all still idolize the curves and lips of Marilyn Monroe, but fashion doesn't seem to embrace her body image among it's newer icons. L.A's starlets seem to know this better than anyone. They seem to start out looking healthy and fit, and they grab everyone's attention with just that, but within a few years, it could be the L.A. sun that just withers them away.

If you don't believe it, check out some of the following before and after photographs of your favorite female celebrities.

Lindsay Lohan

Famous for her talented role in Disney's remake of The Parent Trap, Lindsay Lohan splashed into the headlines. She grew up within a few short years, and was noted for her sexy, slightly hoarse voice, her ultra vibrant fire colored locks, and her healthy body! A few years later, with rumors of eating disorders, alcoholism, and drugs around her, Lindsay was looking like a Kate Moss wannabe. She looked pale, thin, blonde, and frankly, just fragile. However, kudos to Lindsay, who is now looking a little more like a girl and less like a stick!

"Even the Latinas of Hollywood, who are noted for their exotic
bodies..."

Umm, that's pretty racist. We REALLY shouldn't be exocitizing
particular ethnic groups. Come on now.
