Sometimes they truly save the best for last, Farah Angsana's Fall 2008 Couture collection presented on Thursday March 13 had the Hollywood Red Carpet in mind; fitting, since it was L.A. Fashion week.

Angsana opened her show with...a show, a tango, an intense display of love and desire. Reading Angsana's program, we are informed that her Fall 2008 collection is dedicated to her mother who passed away when she was preparing in Paris. Angsana wrote that she wanted to give back all the love her mother once taught her--through the tango and the collection she has succeeded.

Keeping with her Spanish/tango theme, Angsana proposed gowns and cocktail dresses with couture elements from encrusted Swarovski crystals to black lace overlays---frequently used in Spanish cultures, tango dresses especially. The collection was exquisite with black being the predominant color along with white and gray.

After the music kicked up midway through the show, peacock blues and chiffon layers began their love affair with onlookers. An emerald silk jersey draped gown with actual peacock feathers was absolutely stunning, while bold red cocktail dresses, fit for a tango around the dance floor were the climax of the show.

Somber black closed the show, with a red carpet ready black silk chiffon v-front beaded bodice gown as well as a black silk tie front dress with pleated bubble hem and draped back.

All in all Angsana's Fall 2008 Collection was regal and beautiful, ready for the starlets of Hollywood and the fancy charity events in New York City. The hard work, detail and love that Angsana put into her tango themed designs, her mother sure would be proud.
