more from this author Beatles Week part two comes to a close, and the only words I can think to describe it are thank God. While the first week had some great hits and some sad misses, this week just felt like a boring repeat. Personally, I felt very little 'wow factor'; most of the pimped contestants were not on their A game, and some even looked slightly bored. Thankfully the torture is over, and now not only will we be moving on with new themes and a good crop of mentors, but we discover who we will be participating in this summer’s American Idol Summer Tour. Back In The U.S.S.R., and Then Some Amanda Overmyer, in all honesty, was running on limited time. Though she had a fan base filled with those who like a strong personality southern rock chick, as well as the votes from famed website VoteForTheWorst.com, she was unable to captivate the audience enough to secure a spot in the Top 10. After her performance, which actually wasn’t the worst of the night, Simon once again claimed to not get her performance, and Overmyer replied she’s giving fans a glimpse of what they would get at one of her concerts. Apparently, ticket sales would be low. Page 1 of 8 ![]() [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] |
