Dateless at Prom

Situation #1: In anticipation of such an event, you spent far too much time finding the perfect dress and figuring out how to style your hair that you waited until the last minute to ask around for a date and now everybody's taken. If you still have a girlfriend that's going alone, ask her to be your date! You can even buy each other corsages to match your dresses and have a fun sleepover dishing about all the horrible outfits while still having the fun memories with someone you know and trust!

Situation #2: You finally got up the guts to ask a guy to prom that you've been crushing on for some time now and when you finally approach him and pop the question, he laughs in your face! What a jerk! Don't feel bad about this. Feel bad for him for missing out on a great night out with you! If you have no other choices, go to the prom alone and have a ball. Dance with your friends, laugh, create memories, and show that sleezeball what a great time you're having without him, and in no time, he'll ditch that busty blonde in the skimpy dress and come crawling back to you, Miss Social Grace.

Situation #3: Some people have parents so strict, they won't allow their children to have dates to prom and insist they spend time with same-sex friends! It's okay, though. You will earn much more respect and trust from your parents in the long run if you just follow the rules. It's okay to meet eyes with that hottie on the other side of the room, just be sure to enjoy yourself with your friends too. After all, it is still a memorable night! If you have a discussion with your parents post-prom about the great time you have, make sure to show them some pictures with your hottie in the background and encourage Mom to let you seek him out!

A date is only part of the prom equation and a unnecessary one at that. There will be plenty of other times to dance and go to dinner one-on-one with a crush or boyfriend, celebrate what prom is really about...being with your friends and having fun!

My senior prom I took my cousin Richard and my gay friend Timmy
and I had a blast because I had two dates. My parents let me stay
out all night and also they didn't really have to worry because I
was also cramping if you catch my drift? lol
I tried to asked the guy I wannted to go to prom with but he said
that he was already taking someone else. Now I have to go with my
friends.
I loved going stag to Prom. I went for both Junior and Senior
Prom. I had more fun than any of my friends who went with dates
did, because they were concerned about how the guys felt, why they
wouldn't get up and dance. When you have guys who are going to be
bummers about Prom, it's only going to drag you down and be a
bummer for you.

Senior Year we did an entirely singles limo, and THAT was fun.
Except one girl in our limo had a date.
Don't feel bad if you don't have a date! junior and Senior year my
relationships ended right before prom. Well, I went alone and had
fun with my friends, and danced with some boys anyway. It's really
not that serious and I did have fun, and people wont think you
didn't get a date... I turned down a few people too.
my prom i went dateless, i was really looking forware to go with
someone but that didn't end up happening but i still had fun. Now
im going to my boyfriends prom with him so i get to experience
both.
ive been to two dances so far since high school. went to both
stag. ...and it wasnt THAT bad.
