Everyone loves America Idol. And what is not to love? In the title alone it has two of American's favorite things; America and false pop culture idols. More than just the winners, people love the losers of American Idol, whether it be the horrid ones they can make fun of (like William Hung, who gave everyone the pleasure of a culturally validated opportunity to mock a foreigner) or a socially awkward contestant whose loss made him seem more edgy (Daughtry I am casting a devious stare in your direction). So what could be better than a CD from four American Idol losers!?!?! Well apparently almost everything. I was quite surprised since the album proudly exclaims to be a Wal-Mart Exclusive. First and foremost, the losers aren't even prominent losers like Bo Bice, Clay Aiken, or Jordin Sparks (well actually she won but the public lost with the career that came after). There are four singers on the CD and none were Top 5 contestants, which means there are well over 30 contestants more qualified to be on an album. Moreover, half of the album is made up of two singers who didn't even make the final 10. I have watched almost every episode of the shows six year run and I can honestly say I have no idea who they are.
