It's very rare nowadays for a band to go for it Gorilla style. A Cursive Memory bravely infiltrated the Los Angeles Paparazzi scene with gusto, balls...and a Ghetto Blaster, blasting their single "Everything" to everything and everyone. Their concept for their music video for "Everything," was everything having to do with pop culture and our society's current obsession with it. A Cursive Memory ingeniously, planted themselves in the middle of all the Hollywood chaos to stir up buzz about the band, all the while successfully ticking off some Paparazzo during the process.
"Filming the video was actually tough at some points," says A Cursive Memory drummer, Dillon Wheeler. "Some nights we would go out and we wouldn't get anybody, but when the action was actually happening, it was one of the funnest things we have ever done."
Wheeler also says that some parts were actually scary. Watch any video on TMZ.com, and you can see the sheer amount of aggressiveness Paparazzi use to get the perfect shot. Whether it's driving erratically down the 101 to catch K Fed, or jumping over bushes to get the exclusive shot of Britney in an ambulance (x2).
"They threatened to jump us when we were shooting LC from The Hills," says Wheeler. "We just walked up with the Ghetto Blaster and this guy just started goin' off, he was like 'you guys ruined my shot with Britney, I can't sell it unless it's exclusive and I got you three a**holes in the back.'"
