If you do some thorough research (read: wikipedia) you can see for yourself that pop-punk favorites Jimmy Eat World tour a lot. Sure, it does come with the territory of being a successful band this day and age...that and millions of hits on your MySpace Music page. Since the band's latest album, Chase This Light has been released, drummer Zach Lind says that, since last summer, they have been touring non-stop. Now, they will embark on a 20 + date tour with the currently unstoppable Paramore.
"When Paramore contacted us, we didn't know a whole lot about them but they are doing pretty well," Lind says. "On this tour we are going to be bringing two different audiences to the show. Paramore's is a little younger ours are a little older, so hopefully we will both gain new fans."
Whether you've been following their music for years or just downloaded then on I-tunes, there is no mistaking that Jimmy Eat World's latest album, Chase This Light is not light on the emo-pop-punk.
"We recorded it all at home in Arizona," he says. "Being at home, I think we were more comfortable, making our music lighter and more upbeat."
