Rarely, do people allow and moreover encourage you to paint your own masterpiece on a $90 t-shirt. Then again, nothing is really normal in Supima's Soho store located in downtown New York City. For one thing, this boutique, offering up a variety of some of the softest items you have ever felt, is not really a store per say. Instead, it is kind of an extreme form of advertising for this cotton company and the brands it helps to make. Already this "pop-up" store open 8 hours a day, seven days a week, has turned a vacant New York City parking lot into a cotton field to rival the farms of Georgia, hosted a celebrity-visited all white viewing party and has given out more free bouquets of cotton and CDs to unassuming patrons than can be imagined. All this and Supima is slated to close its doors just as quickly as it opened them a month after their debut on April 13th.
