While you probably recognize her name from her famous Beatle father, Stella McCartney deserves recognition all her own.

After graduating from Central St. Martins in 1995, Stella worked at the fashion house of Chloe, and after only two collections was named the Paris creative director of the empire. In 2001, she launched her own fashion house, her first collection appearing in October in Paris. In 2004, Stella took her collections closer to the masses by working with Adidas to create a line of athletic gear. Concocting pieces for yoga, studio, running, tennis, winter sports, and most recently dancewear, Stella uses bold colors (think magenta and cobalt) and flexible fabrics to benefit the modern active woman.

Shortly thereafter in 2005, Stella designed a line of wearable clothing for retail giant H&M, her entire collection selling out worldwide in record time. Most recently, Stella has paired with Le Sportsac for a collection which premiered this year, featuring fun prints in versatile styles that reflect both Le Sportsac's brand and her own design aesthetics. Today, Stella's designs are featured in over 400 countries throughout the world, and her name is often seen alongside many of the fashion elite.
