Politics as usual with this Missouri-based quartet.
This New York-based quartet is prepared to rock in '09.
The hard rock quintet gets sinister on "Cinco Diablo."
Sticking to what they do best on their fifth album.

Brits do nothing better than form bands and lose Revolutionary Wars

The U.K. has been carefully stitched into the fabric of the history of Rock n' Roll music that it has become damn near impossible to point out one thing that is definitively British. The former mother country has not just influenced the direction of western music but also truly defined it. Where this most apparent is guitar-driven bands. While the U.S. is a nation where the solo artist has flourished (Dylan, Hendrix, Wonder, Timberlake), in the U.K. the band has been king. Sociologically speaking Britain is a much more collectivist culture than the U.S., which probably lends to a supportive environment for world changing bands. So here is a top 10 of the most influential...

10. Queen

They symbolized Rock n' Roll at its most bombastic. Freddie Mercury and the boys seemed to have felt "why make songs when you can create anthems?" They saw their music beyond even a classical scale. But it is Freddie's flare for the dramatic might be the bands most notable stamp on rock history because without it My Chemical Romance and Panic (now sans !) at the Disco would be a lot more mediocre.

It's not 'Liverpoolians' but 'Liverpudlians'.

Good to see you've done your research...

Other than that, the article was alright.
The Sex Pistols is one the sh*ttiest bands to ever play "music".
They were not musicians, they played the same chords over and over
again. But whatever. Good list, quite predictable though. :)
I agree with #1 and #2, but I would've put The Clash at #3.
