Eco Chic Music Gadgets

Being green never sounded so good.

Since reading Kiwibox automatically puts you on the cusp of all things cool, you already know about stuff like organic fashion, alternative energy, and even green TV shows. So what's the newest way of getting down, eco-style? The way you listen to music can impact the environment too, and a website called Fashionation has some awesomely innovative suggestions.

The company began as one of the very first to launch fashion-forward iPod accessories in January 2007. The idea was to provide stylish and functional cases, headphones, speakers, and armbands for the runway-savvy. Now the company is doing their part to reduce their eco-footprint too. In addition to accessories made from 100% recycled or sustainable natural fibers, they have a few new gizmos out that are Earth friendly and affordable. Sound too good to be true? Check them out and decide for yourself.

Neo Speakers

Say what you will about your superior-sounding monstrous speakers and subwoofers, but that fact is, those things are clunky and suck up a ton of energy. Oh, and they're not particularly pretty, either. These Neo Speakers, however, maintain that superior sound and they're made out of recycled cardboard. Yes, cardboard. They're light and compact for storage and portability purposes, and you can even fold them up when they're not in use. Go ahead, buy a set in every color - they're only $14.95!

iSpin

Now that DJ's are celebrities in their own right, why wouldn't anyone want to become a mixmaster themselves? Oh right, because most DJ equipment will fetch you over $1,000. Not the iSpin, though. At $99.99, you and a friend can plug your iPods into this mini turntable and mix to your hearts' content. You can adjust balances, add effects and scratches, and even throw in your own shout-outs with the microphone. So how exactly is this thing eco-friendly? Its sleek design uses minimal plastic, and it recently earned a CEC IV rating, which means that it meets new standards for low electronic consumption. Not bad for a baby turntable!

awww...thats it? more gadgets please!!
I think the speakers are a darn good idea, actually. And cute too.
Mine sit on a shelf... So it isn't as if they need to be
particularly hardy.
How lame...sorry...nice try, though.
Speakers made out of cardboard? Those won't last long. But they
look pretty though. Whatever's good for the environment is cool to
me.
They look cute and cool.
lame...
Speakers look cool.
