She also taught that good hygiene is key, so that for me means shower everyday! Most times I'll take two showers a day, one before school and one after school. Sometimes even three, because I play lots of sports. If you have oily skin, you'll want to do this, because it's most likely uncomfortable and VERY bad for your skin to let that oil just rest there. Make sure not to shampoo each time though. I shampoo every other day and the rest of the days just use conditioner to keep my hair nice and soft. Remember to put moisturizer on after every shower as well so your skin won't dry out.
One of the nicest beauty tips my mom taught me was how to make a homemade toner. It's great, it smells amazing, and makes my skin really soft while fighting off any acne. All you have to do is boil some water and add either a green tea bag or chamomile tea bag. Let them steep for five to ten minutes. You can use this every day, even twice a day if desired--that is how gentle it is! You can keep it in your fridge for about a month.
I've learned a lot from my Mother, and I hope you've learned a lot from her too!
